In light of the recent Covid-19 regulations we at Show TV are gutted to announce that the Auckland Home Show, that was meant to take place next week, has been postponed. This is the biggest show of the year for our Show TV exhibitors, so this news has hit us hard, and while we are sad that we won’t be able to show you our amazing products live in action, we are looking forward to seeing you all at the show later this year in September. Fortunately, with the rest of New Zealand currently in alert level one, the other shows around the country will be going ahead and our Show TV team couldn’t be more excited to hit the road again to showcase our best selling products!
In this week's blog we wanted to tell you all about what’s happening behind the scenes and give you a sneak peek into the show lifestyle. Last week, our Show TV Creative Director Tessa joined our show team on the road as they demonstrated some of our best selling products at the Rotorua Home and Garden Show. To give you a behind the scenes glimpse of our lives on the road, we have put together a time-lapse video of our exhibitors at the event. We wanted to show you that there is a whole world of people who travel around the country, demonstrating products at shows all year round. This isn't just a full-time job, it’s a way of life, and there is a whole community of people who dedicate their lives to selling products at home shows, expos and other live events across the country. Having Covid-19 in the community affects everyone, including exhibitors. It stops them from being able to travel, display products, conduct live demonstrations and interact with customers in a friendly face to face environment. For many of our exhibitors, attending these live events to demonstrate and showcase products is their livelihood, and we are beyond grateful for everyone who has carried on attending these events, supporting our local businesses.
As well as Show TV hitting the road and continuing our show life, we have some super exciting things going on within our digital team, including the creation of a YouTube channel and a makeover of our website and social media pages. As a way to further connect with our audiences, we will be putting together polls, surveys and other fun ways to interact, so we can order in your favourite products and produce the content YOU want to see! Our Show TV blog, of course, is another way to do this. We want you to comment on our blogs each week to let us know the kind of content you want to see, so we can tailor what we create to suit you!
