What are the differences (and similarities) between Euroblade and Tevo infrared heaters?
Economical to Run: Because of Euroblade heater’s Carbon Infrared Technology they not only heat up in seconds they are also very economical to run. They work on infrared heat waves that are quickly distributed throughout the room. The heater bulb is the only part that may ever need replacing and runs up to approximately 10,000 hours.
Indoor & Outdoor: Because all Euroblade and Euroblade™ XT Series models™are water and dust resistant (IP55 certified) it means that it can be hung inside or outside. The protection grill is made from high corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel. Euroblade is one of the countries leading carbon infrared heaters so you can be assured that each and every part of the heater has been carefully designed to provide strong and long-life performance.
Modern Design: Euroblade heaters are made using the latest carbon fibre technology, and are robust and hard-wearing with long-lasting heating elements. Euroblade heaters are quiet, reliable, and made with high quality electronics that have a superior performance. Remotely controlled: With the handy remote control you can set all functions and settings: regulate the heating levels, activate and set the timer function and activate and set the automatic temperature control. The automatic temperature control allows you to set the desired temperature. There are also push buttons on the unit for all of these functions as well.

Do I need a tradie to install?
The Euroblade Carbon Infrared Heaters do not require an electrician, no hard wiring is needed (they can be hardwired if you wish using a certified electrician). The XT MAXI and XT MINI come with a bracket set included for you to mount the unit. Simply mount onto a wall or ceiling space, plug it in and you’re set! The XT SUNTOWER requires no mounting as it is free standing and fully portable.
Kindly note that extension cables need to be recommend and installed by an electrician as poor quality extension cables are a fire risk.
How long is the power cord?
The cord is 1.8 metres long, you can use an extension cord if needed (see note above), although it is best to have this plugged directly into the source of power.
Does it come with a stand?
The Euroblade XT MAXI and XT MINI do not come with a stand as they are designed for wall or ceiling mounting only, however they come with a mounting kit with brackets so you can mount it onto your wall or ceiling space. There is a step by step guide showing you how to attach the brackets and mount it to your wall/ceiling. The XT SUNTOWER is a fully portable, freestanding unit with a weighted base and automatic tilt switch cutoff which makes it completely portable and can be moved anywhere. Please note that the XT SUNTOWER can not be wall or ceiling mounted.
Is it okay to install my heater outside?
Yes! All Euroblade XT models are water and dust resistant (IP55 certified) it means that they can be used inside or outside. The protection grill is made from high corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel. Is infrared safe?
The infrared heat waves that are distributed from the EuroBlade Heater are not harmful and unlike sunlight, it does not contain any UV (UV is at the other end of the light spectrum). The Infrared light generated by the EuroBlade is known as "Short Wavelength Infrared" or "IR-B" with a wavelength in the 1.4–3 μm range.
What are the safety features of the heater?
It is good practice to unplug your heater when it is not in use.
Your EuroBlade also has a handy timer, so when the timer is set, the heater will automatically shut down at the end of the configured time.
Can it run off a generator?
As long as your generator can run off the largest power supply which is 2000W for the XT SUNTOWER / XT MAXI or 1200W for the XT MINI
How many amps at 2000 watts?
We can confirm that if the heater is on 2000W setting it will draw approx 8.3 amps.
How much does it cost to run?
There are four different power settings on the Euroblade XT MAXI: 800W, 1200W, 1600W, 2000W. and the XT MINI 600W, 800W, 1000W and 1200W. The XT SUNTOWER has 2 settings, 1000W and 2000W. The lower wattage settings will be the most cost efficient in electricity usage.
In regards to the amount it costs to run, this depends on your energy provider and what you pay per kilowatt hour. This can be found on your power bill statement. We have a rough estimation for your reference based on paying an average $0.25 per kWh:
Level 1 - 800W - $0.20 an hour
Level 2 - 1200W - $0.30 an hour
Level 3 - 1600W - $0.40 an hour
Level 4 - 2000W - $0.50 an hour
How many do you need for outside?
The Euroblade can cover up to 30sqm indoors and 16sqm outdoors. If you require more than one unit for your space we recommend mounting them opposite sides of the area facing in. This will ensure that your entire space stays warm and cosy!
Does it have a sensor to switch off?
The heater does not have a sensor, however you may set a timer on your remote which will switch the heater off when the time lapses!
Can it be mounted vertically?
Yes it can! If you don’t have any space horizontal on your wall, installing your heater vertically is fine too.
Can it go in the bathroom?
You can certainly install your heater in a bathroom, it is great for condensation and the smaller XT MINI is ideal for this purpose. Do not install directly above a shower or bath, and ensure that it is mounted 1800mm above the floor and at least 500mm under the ceiling.
How long does the bulb last?
The bulb in our Euroblade has an expected lifespan of 10,000 hours!
How do you replace the bulb?
If you are within your warranty, please reach out to us and we can replace your bulb for you. Alternatively, we sell replacement bulbs and recommend an electrician to reinstall, or we also offer out of warranty service for a small fee.
What is the warranty?

People often ask us what are the differences of Euroblade™ heaters Vs Tevo/Tiva heaters (MODEL NUMBER: SNBHTR). Here's a quick run down for you.
1. How weatherproof are they?
All Euroblade™ Heaters carry an independently lab
certified IP55 weatherproof rating. This IP (Ingress Protection) rating is a measure of the level of protection against solid objects and liquids. It is the internationally recognised certification standard for this. Tevo/Tiva carries an IPX4 rating which means that they have not been certified for solids ingress and carry a 4 rating for liquid ingress. See the IP rating chart at the bottom of this page for a more detailed explanation.
2. How much power do they use?
The Euroblade™ XT series consists of 3 different models. the XT MAXI and XT SUNTOWER both have a maximum power rating of 2000 Watts and this is the same as the Tevo/Tiva which is also 2000 Watts. The Euroblade™ XT MINI has a maximum power rating of 1200 Watts and is ideal for use in smaller areas like bedrooms and bathrooms.
3. Do they have different power settings?
Both the Euroblade™ XT MAXI and the Tevo/Tiva have 4 power settings ranging from 800W at the lowest setting to 2000W at maximum setting. The Euroblade™ XT MINI also has 4 power settings, from 600W minimum setting to 1200W Maximum Setting. The Euroblade™ XT SUNTOWER has 2 settings, 1000W and 2000W.
4. Can they be mounted on the ceiling?
The Euroblade™ XT MAXI and XT MINI can be either ceiling or wall mounted which makes them ideal for cafes, restaurants, warehouses, workshops etc. The Tevo/Tiva has a tip over protection switch which makes unclear if it is suitable to be ceiling mounted or not. The Euroblade™ XT SUNTOWER does not need any mounting as it is designed as a freestanding, portable unit with tip over protection. Note: the XT SUNTOWER cannot be wall or ceiling mounted.
5. Can you mount them on a stand?
The Euroblade™ XT MAXI and XT MINI are designed for wall or ceiling mounting only, they may not be used on a stand. The Tevo/Tiva may be used on a stand (sold separately) as it has tip over protection switch. The Euroblade™ XT SUNTOWER has a weighted base and tip over protection so it is designed to be fully free standing and portable without the next for an additional stand to mount upon.
6. What is the warranty?
All Euroblade™ products come with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. The Tevo/Tiva comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.
7. Do they have a motion sensor?
The Euroblade™ XT series models do not contain a motion sensor. After extensive testing we found that the sensor was not particularly reliable or useful and therefore did not include this in our production models. All Euroblade™ XT Series models come with a timer function. The Tevo/Tiva comes with both a motion sensor and timer function.
8. Do they come with Brackets and remote included?
Yes both the XT MAXI, XT MINI and Tevo/Tiva come with a set of brackets included for mounting and a remote control. Note: the XT SUNTOWER is not designed for mounting and therefore brackets are not included but the remote is.
9. Do they look good?
Well on this one we have to admit we are just a little bit biased! We believe the Euroblade™ XT series heaters are the best looking infrared heaters on the market, but in the end only you can decide the real answer to this!
